Ingredients

1 +1/2 cup flour

3 tablespoons cocoa

1 teaspoon vanilla sugar

5 tablespoons oil of your choice (sunflower, olive, coconut or other)

1 cup plain water or sour water

Preparation:

Put all the dry ingredients in one bowl except the baking soda. Then add the water and oil, then mix well so that there are no lumps. Put the vinegar and soda in a large glass and mix them. You will notice that a chemical reaction will be created, it will foam. Then add them to the whipped mixture. This will make the dough airy. Put the prepared mixture in a baking dish and bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 40 minutes. Check the dough from time to time for baking. The dough is very soft and not too soft. If you want you can add sweetener if desired. This cake is perfect as a breakfast for coffee or milk. Once the cake is baked, let it cool down nicely before cutting it, because the dough will exhale and stick if you cut it while it is still hot.

Variants of preparation:

– If you bake the dough in the largest oven pan, you can use it as a sponge cake. Just think of a movie

– You can make it like muffins, and it would be phenomenal if you put a cube of white chocolate in the middle.

– You can put half a dose in the muffin tins or the pan, bake it to get a crust, take it out, spread it with jam of your choice, pour the second half of the dough and bake it

– You can just sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve

What is the secret of this recipe?

Usually in cake recipes we use butter because it helps maintain the softness of the cake and also makes the cake tender by coating the flour with fat. In this recipe, that effect is achieved with oil, and we have a similar outcome. Eggs are also commonly used in cake recipes, with baking soda and vinegar as substitutes. The same effect is obtained, ie the cake becomes light and soft. Instead of milk, we added water to this recipe.
