GMOs are fine, Gluten is necessary and Probiotics are useless

A roster of myth-busting nutrition studies were publishing that GMOs are harmless, probiotics are unnecessary and gluten-free diet is a terrible idea. Dr. Yoni Freedhoff professor which has a nutrition blog says that is nice to see studies that are skeptical of magic nutritionist, and that is impossible to change the public opinion that there are magical foods.

Genome Medicine published a study that probiotic supplements can give our body an immune system unnecessary boost. Danish researchers have made a systematic review on studies that were taken to look at the effects of probiotic products like biscuits and yogurt. They found out that there are no evidence that probiotics can consistently effect the fecal microbiota composition.

Dr. Norelle Rizkalla Reilly says that there are no benefits of a gluten-free diet unless you are allergy on wheat, Celiac disease or gluten sensitivity. Avoiding gluten can damage your health. It may leave you deficient in vitamins and nutrients and can expose you to toxins such as arsenic. Arsenic can be absorbed form the soil by rice which is a primary substance in gluten-free products. All this was published in The Journal of Pediatrics.

The National Academy of Science report a paper that there are no scientific evidence that GMOs can increase the health risk. In public debate was talking about the safety of GMOs and the product made with GM crops.
Freedhoff says that is hard to kill of this nutrition fads, even with science, because people always want to look for solution for better health. The obsession over food trend and fads is preoccupation for only a minority of the population.

Lot of people want to have the luxury of healthy living and this is understandable. Lot of people also do not worry about the GMOs in their products. They only care for the health and happiness of them and their children and this is the reality.
