There are new guidelines for the recommended sleeping time, according to a professor from the Harvard University, and after a research was conducted, that span over a period of ten years, these following results were created.
According to the different stages in their development:
– Newborns, 0 to 3 months should sleep 14-17 hours
– Babies, 4 to 11 months should sleep 12-15 hours
– Children, 1-2 years should sleep 11-14 hours
– Preschool, 3-5 years should sleep 10-13 hours
– School age, 6-13 years should sleep 9-11 hours
– Teens, 14-17 years should sleep 8-10 hours
– Youth, 18-25 years should sleep 7-9 hours
– Adults, 26-64 years should sleep 7-9 hours
– Seniors, over 65 years should sleep 7-8 hours
