Baking soda has also been a part of natural remedies for quite a long time. A Natural Exfoliator

Why spend hundreds on expensive and ineffective exfoliators when you can just use baking soda? It’s a great natural exfoliator that you can easily prepare at home. Make a paste of a bit of baking soda and hot water, then apply it on your face and rub it in nicely. Leave it to work for a minute, then wash it off with cold water. You’ll notice the results after only one use.

Removes Any Kind of Stain

Baking soda is a great stain remover that works fast. For example, it can get rid of yellow stains with ease. Mix 2 tablespoons of baking soda with 4 tablespoons of hydrogen peroxide and 1 tablespoon of liquid detergent. Apply this to the stains and leave it to work for up to 20 minutes, then give them a wash. They’ll be whiter than ever!

To remove green or red stains, mix a bit of baking soda in water and apply the paste on them directly. Let it work for 30 minutes before washing. To remove greasy stains, apply some water on the stain then sprinkle a fair amount of baking soda. Leave it to work for 15 minutes, then wash it like you regularly do.

Fixes Cracks

We guess you had no clue that baking soda can fix small cracks in your dishes? Mix baking soda and colorless glue in a 1:1 ratio, then apply the paste on the cracks. It’ll fill them up nicely and keep your dishes from breaking apart.

Homemade Dish Machine Tablets

You can use baking soda to make homemade dish machine tablets that work just as good as the commercial cleaners. Mix a tablespoon of baking soda with ½ a cup of salt and 1/3 cup of citric acid in a bigger bowl, then add a bit of dishwasher liquid. Leave the paste to harden for 1.5 to 2 hours, then make small squares or balls and use them in your dishwashing machine.

Removes Pesticides from Fresh Produce

To remove pesticides from fresh produce, wash it in a mix of water and baking soda. Just leave them in a bowl with baking soda and water for 15 minutes, then rinse under cold water. With it, the produce should be pesticide-free.

Restore Your Threads’ Whiteness

Are your shoe threads dirty? You can make them pure white again by cleaning them with a mix of 2 tablespoons baking soda, 1 tablespoon hydrogen peroxide, and 1 tablespoon of water. Apply the mix on the threads with a brush, then rinse them under water. Boom! They’re as white as the day you’ve bought them.

Leg Swelling Remedy

You can reduce the swelling in your legs by applying a mix of 1.5 tablespoons of baking soda and a cup of hot water. Apply the mix freely on the swollen parts of your legs and feet, then wrap in foil and put on your socks. Leave it like that overnight and you’ll notice the difference in the morning.
