Pacquiao was born in 1978 as one of six children. His single mom did her best to support the family. However, things were pretty hard. At 14, Manny had to quit school to support his family. Just two years later, he found boxing and fell in love with it. The rest, as they say, is history.
His fight against nemesis Floyd Mayweather Jr. earned him $1.5 million even though he didn’t win. He’s used that cash to help the poor who lived as he did once. He represents the needs of his countrymen and is focused on the poor. Remember the $1.5 million he earned in the 2015 Mayweather bout? He used it to build 1,000 homes for the poor in his country.
