A Heartbreak Story Every Married Couple Should Learn

A couple was married for eleven years and life was great for that long. Their marriage was crowned with the birth of a boy that was the love of their life. They played with him every day and enjoyed the time spent together.

One day when the boy was only 2 years old, the husband noticed an opened medicine bottle with no cap on it in the bathroom. He was running late for work, so he told his wife to close it and keep it out of reach. She was making breakfast at the moment and totally forgot about it. The boy saw the open bottle and took it. Not knowing what the pills are, he drank them all. The medicine was too much for a small boy, so the child collapsed in just a short time. The mother rushed him to the hospital, but he was so intoxicated that doctors could not save him. The boy died as a result of pill poisoning.

When the husband arrived at the hospital, he couldn’t stop crying. He looked at the mother and told her: “I love you darling”. It was a pretty uncommon response – most fathers would blame the mother for not closing the open pill bottle. However, the father knew that nothing could bring back the child. There was no point blaming the mother. She was heartbroken too, and if he removed the bottle from the bathroom in the morning, none of that would have happened.

The mother lost a child too. After the death of the boy, she needed consolation and sympathy too. Instead of blaming her, the father forgave her and held her close.

Many times, we miss the fact that we should support our partners. Learning how to forgive others is a very important trait we should all rely on. It’s a treasure not many of us have. Multiplying pain and anguish in that kind of situations won’t help. Support and care will.

The next time you think about blaming your wife or husband for something horrible that happened, think twice. You’re in it together, and you could have prevented the problem too.
