Head in The Clouds – The New Plane Without Windows Arrives!

A British company has published photos of its “windowless aircraft” concept. Instead of windows, passengers will starve screens that show what is outside.

CPI is a company located in the north east of England and believes that this idea will make classic aircraft surpassable. These planes should be much lighter, and because airlines are struggling to save money and fuel, cost is one of their biggest advantages. A light aircraft will consume less fuel and emit less carbon dioxide, which is also important for the environment.

It will be the same as flying in the clouds, which will reduce the nervousness of passengers who are afraid of flying. You will also have the opportunity to surf the internet, watch videos and movies. This technology will be developed in the next 10 years and there is a great opportunity to find it in commercial use, which will make flying by plane much more relaxed and comfortable experience.

However, the interior of the aircraft could also be used for lighting, a picture of dusk or sunrise on long journeys.
The French design agency announced the first drafts of a windowless aircraft in August on the Ixon Windowless Jet. Although there are no solid plans to build this aircraft due to the fact that more and more companies want to build such an aircraft, it is only a matter of time before that happens.

Interesting facts about airplanes

Have you noticed the hole in the windows of the planes? You may have flown in a plane and noticed a hole in the bottom of each window. Well, it’s for safety, and it’s in charge of regulating the pressure in the window glass, which comes from the cockpit and the outside of the plane, so it lets in some air. It also serves to prevent freezing and fogging. Aircraft windows are made of three layers, outer, middle and inner. After takeoff and ascent, the outside air pressure is constantly falling, while the cabin air pressure is constantly rising. Due to the large difference, the windows are under a lot of pressure and can be damaged, but the hole prevents that. Also, when the outer layer cracks, the other two are strong enough to withstand the landing at the nearest airport.

Wing hooks

On most planes, to get out of the emergency exit, you have to stand on a smooth and slippery wing, so there is a hook that can be tied with a rope, so that passengers can adhere and evacuate safely.

An ax in the cockpit

By law in most countries the ax is a mandatory means of emergency. It can open a closed door or solve a similar problem.

Air Force Marshals

These police officers drive incognito planes and react in case there is a problem passenger or even a terrorist.

Crew rest areas

Some planes have hidden small rooms where the cabin crew can relax during long flights. They are not comfortable because they are short and need to crawl, but they are enough for a little rest.

Air conditioning system

Almost all of us have wondered how the plane is air conditioned. In fact, the air comes from the engine turbines, after going through a certain process. Therefore, there is a superstition that the air in the plane is dirty, but in fact with this process the air is filtered and cooled, which removes as much as 95% of bacteria.

The black triangle

These black triangles indicate the places where pilots can best see the wing of the aircraft, in case of a problem or when they want to make a check.
