The Blue оr Green Illusion

Is it possible for all of us to have a different perception when it comes to colors? Lately, various illusion tests that are used to detect color can be found on the Internet. Those tests drove people crazy because obviously all eyes see differently. With such tests, people get into a quarrel, proving which color is actually seen in the picture. Half of the people see one color, the other half see another color. But how is that possible when it comes to the same image and the same color?

The blue or green illusion

Take a look at the picture below and decide if it is green or blue. How does it look to you? What color do you see in the picture?

Is it possible for the image to be both green and blue at the same time?
Certainly not. It’s actually a perspective. The researchers also managed to confuse the participants with the color of the square. For that purpose, the research showed 2 squares, and this green-blue square was placed between them. The perception of the participants in the research immediately changed and they gave a completely different answer. Previously, when participants saw only the blue-blue square, 64% of them said that the square was green, and 32% of respondents said that the square was blue. After seeing all 3 squares, as many as 90% of the respondents answered that the central square is green. Interesting isn’t it?

In fact, it is simple, it is all about perception.

What is the true color of the square?

According to the mathematical calculations, according to the RGB values of the color, it was concluded that on this the values are 0 red, 122 green and 116 blue. According to these values, the square is placed in the green category. Why is that? You can just see that when you put the square next to the obvious blue squares, you will notice that it looks pretty green. However, the high number it contains is also blue, so when you look at this square separately you can say that it has a blue color.
