Hollywood Star Takes Fallen Soldiers’ Children to Disneyland

Kindness is pretty hard to find in this cold and heartless world. It’s not that these people don’t exist, but generosity is pretty scarce nowadays. That goes double for those who have the money to burn. While some Hollywood stars are not known to be generous, others are kind beyond any doubts.

Gary Sinise is one of those celebrities not afraid to use his fame and wealth to help those who need it. Known for his roles in The Green Mile and Forrest Gump, the actor’s philanthropic work is kind of put in the background.

Gary runs the Gary Sinise Foundation, an organization that helps US Army veterans and defenders and their families. Beside raising money, the foundation also aims to entertain the children of fallen soldiers and help those affected by the horrors of war.

To show gratitude to the fallen heroes, Sinise has sent nearly 2,000 children of army soldiers since 2017 to Disneyland. The program is called “Snowball Express” and honors fallen soldiers by giving their children a trip to the wonderful Disneyland. The children and their moms are flown to the Chicago wonderland for a five-night trip, all taken care of courtesy of the Sinise Organization. During their stay, the kids are also given “We Remember” pins to honor their fallen fathers.

Sinise says that the organization’s primary goal is to make the fallen soldiers remembered. The trip to Disneyland lets their families know that they’re not alone and that the sacrifices of their fathers are not forgotten. While we can’t bring heroes back, we should all try and do at least a bit of what Gary Sinise does.

Our heroes deserve it.
