A boy and a girl meet online, start chatting almost every day and with time they become friends. Their friendship grew by every passing day and soon afterwards they fell in love with each other. They told each other how they felt and for a while they were really happy. They were chatting and chatting every day for a few weeks when suddenly the girl stopped texting back.
The boy wrote to her and waited but there was no response from her. He waited for quite some time but there was no news from her. A few years went by and he enrolled at the university. He never looked at another girl after that as he was scared that he would have his heart broken again. But one day he spotted a girl that took his breath away. He was surprised by how captivating she was. There was just something special about her and he couldn’t take his eyes of her.
One day he decided to go up to her and ask her out. He greeted her and said:
“I’m sorry if I come off as too forward but I really like you and I would like to ask you out, if it’s OK with you.”
He girl instantly rejected him and said: “I’m flattered but I’m already in love.”
The boy apologized and said:
“I’m sorry, I didn’t know you were seeing someone else.”
The girl said that she wasn’t taken she was only in love. She had fallen in love 3 years ago with a boy who was from around here. But some things happened and she lost touch with him. But she couldn’t let go so she came out here to the university to find him.
The boy was shocked to hear her story and said that something similar had happened to him as well.
The girl asked:
“What was the girl’s name? The one that broke your heart?”
The boy said Alisha and as he said it he looked down at the girl’s books and saw that she too was named Alisha.
Tears were rolling down their cheeks and they embraced each other and couldn’t let go. After a few moments the boy wanted to know what had happened, why she stopped texting back.
She explained that she had a car accident and was in the hospital for over a year. She was paralyzed and no one knew if she would ever walk again. She left the hospital 6 months ago with a clean bill of health and remembered that he said he was going to enroll to this university so she applied as well.
The hugged each other and promised they will never leave each other’s side.
